Any visit to Portugal must surely include a visit to an artist’s studio with most regions offering ‘rotas’ or tours in areas that specialize in a particular creative production. Traditional methods of production are gracefully respected but always with invention and experimentation. Heritage is preserved through the use of traditional techniques and materials and the prevalence of traditional styles or motifs.
