Cazuela cooking dishes are traditionally used for Portuguese cuisine and Spanish cuisine. A cazuela is a type of glazed clay cooking dish traditionally used in the Iberian peninsula, thought to be introduced to Spain by the Moors. The term cazuela refers to both the cooking dish and the food it may contain.
Cazuelas are cooking dishes that can be used in the oven, on the stovetop, over a grill, or in a microwave. They’re made in many shapes and sizes, but are most often shallow and round. Cazuelas retain heat long after they’ve been removed from the heat source, so the food continues to cook. Cazuelas are great for cooking small dishes or tapas which are called petisco in Portuguese. Set of 3 cazuela dishes: 14, 16, 18cm. Soak before use. Dishwasher safe.
